I'm Cheenee but you can call me "Chen". I'm from Eastern Samar (Philippines), but I'm currently staying at Cebu (Philippines) to finish my bachelor's degree in accounting. Things I like to do in my spare my time (esp. when I want to take a break from school-related stuff): - Learn languages - Learn how to draw as well (after getting inspired by Pewdiepie's progress) - Play ukelele - Read manhwa/manga Anyway, right now, I'm prioritizing learning Spanish since that's one of the most practical languages for me to learn in terms of convenience, compared to Japanese, Indonesian, and Korean. But I try my best to insert learning Japanese in my schedule (I can only study it for at least 7 hours a week). Feel free to reach out to me. I can teach you the languages I know, and we could also study the languages we're both interested in. I also don't mind if you just want to chat about random stuff. Here's my self-assessed levels of the languages I know and currently learning: Native Language Waray = Mother tongue Filipino (Tagalog) = fluent English = fluent Cebuano = basic conversational level Practicing Language (in terms of priority) 🇪🇸 Spanish = Absolute beginner 🇯🇵 Japanese = Beginner (Can read and barely write hiragana and katakana) 🇮🇩 Indonesian = Beginner (Can understand basic or commonly used words) - put on hold 🇰🇷 Korean = Beginner (Can recognize and read hangul) - put on hold If you're interested to know what my MBTI is, it's INFP.

Hi! I am a Filipino-Chinese and an experienced Bank Officer, currently teaching English to Japanese business professionals. I can speak Mandarin and Hokkien, although I’m a bit rusty since I haven’t had many opportunities to use them. I'm looking for someone who can help me brush up my speaking skills. We can spend half of our time speaking English and the other half speaking Chinese. I can help you improve your grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary, as well as teach you business English. With a C2-level English proficiency and strong interpersonal skills, I believe I can help you achieve your goals.

I am 80 years old, divorced (since 1991) with one daughter and I worked in the Hospitality industry for about 30 years till about a year ago when I had to quit for medical reasons. I worked with Hilton and three of their brands —- as Front Desk agent for Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites and as a Sales Manager for Embassy Suites for 21 years. My family is from the Philippines and I have Chinese and Spanish blood but moved to Okinawa in 1965 where I met my ex-husband, former American Marine. I have lived in Lynnwood, WA (via Okinawa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arkansas, Florida, Hawaii) now for the past few years where my daughter also resides. So, I guess I can say I am “retired” till my doctors find out what is really wrong with me healthwise. 🙄 I can still understand some Tagalog but not that fluent anymore as my 4 siblings — 2 in California and 2 in Hawaii, speak mainly English. Never got to speak much Japanese in Okinawa though my father was fluent in it, & also some Korean and Spanish, which a lot of my families spoke in the Philippines. I took a few Korean language classes last year when I discovered BTS! And add to that, Park Hyo Shin! I am a registered ARMY Mom and have a set of Tiny Tan figures and concert light!!🫢😱 I love to dance and hike which have been curtailed because of medical reasons. I am an avid reader of fiction— suspense, mysteries, romance & some historical novels. I also journalize sometimes. I have also discovered in the past month, Korean series on Netflix. I love to travel but have done most of it in the states. My bucket list includes travel to Korea and back to Japan, Italy and Greece. I guess, that pretty much sums me up. I am actually planning to move back to Jacksonville, FL in hopefully, a couple of months. I hope to really be able to converse decently in Korean and hoping to meet someone to attain this goal and learn more about the culture & customs. Will try to upload a picture taken a few years ago Thank you

I am Gretel D. Salamat. I am elementary teacher for almost 17 years. I am from the Philippines and Tagalog is my native language.I have been teaching Araling Panlipunan for almost 17 years, where Filipino is the primary medium of instruction. Because of this, I don’t get to use English very often. Through this platform, I hope to practice and improve my English speaking skills. I am looking for a language partner who can help me become more confident and fluent in speaking English. In exchange, I’d be happy to help you learn Filipino. I am also interested in learning Spanish and Korean. I am fond of watching movies.
